Shantou Chenghai District Agar Glue Factory has been engaged in Gracilaria cultivation and development and production of high gel strength agar products since 1986. It is honored as “Shantou Private Technology and Shantou Fishery Leading Enterprise”. The factory covers an area of 10,000m2, a building area of 5,000m2, and mainly makes “Haizhen” natural green product - agar powder. It has been awarded as “Large Taxpayer” and “Civilized Operation Unit” from 2005 to 2012, and the project Shantou Seaweed Resource Investigation and Development implemented in 2008 was rated as the first prize of “Shantou Science and Technology Award”.
